Effective November 15, 2024…

International students can now work for 24 hours outside campus when school is in session. They can work full time during holidays and scheduled breaks. 

Campus jobs have no hours limits as usual

A very important development: To change DLI, you would need to apply for a new study permit.

Meaning….if you want to change schools, you will apply all over for a study permit. You can no longer just fill a form like you could do before. 

The easy thing to do would be to change courses within the same DLI – same school you have currently (or will have)

So if your current school has the program you want to change to, no need for a new study permit. If you are moving from school to school, a new study permit application will be required (effective November 8th 2024)

That one is tough!
