Eligibility Review started: 12th December
Approval: December 28th 2023 (For ALL 4 of us)

Our Story: We did not want to submit the application ourselves so we contracted Seyi Obasi to do it for us. But Seyi’s style is to involve you as much as possible which was a little annoying but I am so glad she did that!
After submitting our visa application, and we got biometric letter, we were unable to get a date within 30 days – it was so painful because my school was resuming in January and we had less than 2 months but I just had faith.
We submitted our application on November 16th and our biometrics was booked for December 19th. Seyi asked us to call VFS and appeal to them but they refused so we left it like that and she informed IRCC that we could not submit our biometrics on time. IRCC gave us permission to do the biometrics late.
Even though she asked me to defer my admission I told her we would wait and that we had faith that the application would be released on time

Some things I was scared of: I took an Mpower loan and I have been seeing refusals based on Mpower
But Seyi told me not to worry – that she knows how to address that! She assured us that since mpower is a reputable and internationally recognized company, we would be fine!
Also, I believe I was able to show a strong academic and professional track record that indicated that I was financially capable of personally paying off the loans on an installment basis after I graduate.
Most of all I am grateful to God and to Seyi Obasi for this approval. My family and I are so so so happy 😊

My first application was refused! These are my details:

My application was refused on 10th October with the following reasons:
I am not satisfied that you will leave Canada at the end of your stay as required by
paragraph 111, I am refusing your application because you have not established that you will
leave Canada, based on the following factors:
• Your assets and financial situation are insufficient to support the stated purpose of travel
for yourself (and any accompanying family member(s), if applicable).
• The purpose of your visit to Canada is not consistent with a temporary stay given the
details you have provided in your application.
Facts about my application
1. I submitted a POF with an opening balance with balance of about 600k and a closing balance of 9.5million naira.
2. I submitted a payslip of 350k per month salary.
3. My father also submitted a letter that I would come back and become the head of his company.
I was shattered by the refusal letter but I pulled myself up and decided to give it one more try. I had to dig into my Canada japa system again to find out what to do after a refusal.
